Every once in a while, along comes the most extraordinary event, a milestone celebration that is anticipated around the world and received by press across the globe. This past November 20th was just that: the grand opening celebration of the Palm Island Dubai and Majestic Hotel, Atlantis, Dubai. It was nothing short of extraordinary, from beginning to end!

Most of the guests arrived in time for our first celebration on Wednesday evening the 19th. Between the travel time and the jet lag, coming to town a day or two before the parties makes a huge difference. Wednesday evening, in the impressive rotunda at the hotel lobby, everyone met for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Afterwards, we all gathered our friends in groups and went for dinner at one of Atlantis’s amazing restaurants. A few even ventured to the nightclub on the roof level for some dancing, but most got some rest so they’d be ready for the main event the following evening.
