Cooking%20Rice

For every cup of rice, use a cup of liquid (water, stock, wine, or a combination) and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Keep these proportions regardless of quantities. But remember that the rice will nearly double in size when cooked, so don’t fill a pot to the top with raw rice and water. Allow room for the rice to expand, and for you to be able to fluff the cooked rice without it spilling onto your counters and floor.
