GRYMES CANNON FLORAL DESIGNS

I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to meet many talented people in the events business, but rarely is there a connection and comfort level instantly. With Grymes, it was immediate; I had been asked to speak at an industry event in Tampa, Florida and Grymes Cannon Floral Designs was one of the vendors handling the décor.

When we spoke to discuss some ideas for the rooms’ décor, I was touched by his passion and commitment. I knew that Grymes would do whatever it took to make the room spectacular and he certainly didn’t let me down. In fact, he exceeded my expectations; Grymes had fresh ideas that made the room spectacular. When I walked into the room I could see how hard Grymes and his team worked to create the ambiance.

Since then, Grymes has been in contact with our office many times. We’re hoping to work together again soon on different projects; it’s only a matter of time until I have the honor and pleasure of collaborating with he and his team again. He’s unique in many ways, aside from his positive energy, passion for his craft and knowledge of flowers, he operates and runs his business the same way I do, with integrity, respect and appreciation for everyone that helps bring a vision to life.

Tips from Grymes Cannon

  • Bring materials to help articulate your vision. Magazine clippings can help you express your likes as well as dislikes. Perhaps one picture has a pleasing color scheme, another may have the texture you like, or dislike. Paint chips help describe color palettes you wish to achieve. This information can prevent confusion often associated with another’s perception. (What I am trying to say, is that what one describes, may be interpreted in a completely different manner from a professional or another individual).
  • Value your own opinion. Too many opinions can cause you to second guess your own. Select one person whose opinion you trust will assist you in making decisions.
  • The most important floral element of a wedding is the personal flowers. The Bridal Party, and their flowers, is the subject for the majority of your wedding pictures.
  • Decorate from the inside out. The centerpieces accentuate the most active area of the reception, and bring the focus to a more intimate level.
  • Weekend events can be more affordable with careful planning. Begin with a simple monochromatic vase arrangement. Add a new color, texture, or flower variety to the arrangement with each successive event. Your guests will be amazed as they watch the arrangements transform before their eyes. Each design can stand alone, but becomes more spectacular with the progression of events.
