If you’re a dog lover like I am, this book can’t help but touch your heart. The sweet, adorable, completely crazy Marley was a best friend, constant companion and huge headache to his owners, not unlike my own dog Oscar who I put to sleep at age 21. This is Marley’s story, from “adoption” to old age; he was loveable, clumsy, protective and at the same time demented and deranged, not unlike Oscar. Marley is sure to creep into your heart and soul, to touch emotions that you could never imagine would be stirred by a mere dog. He lived every day with reckless abandon, always looking for fun, never fearing tomorrow, giving love to anyone he came across and receiving the love of so many in return. His needs were simple, his life a lesson on living each day with endless spirit and boundless enthusiasm. Marley wasn’t just a pet, he was a loving and devoted family member that sadly grew old before his master; just like my dog Oscar.
