A friend of mine called to arrange a dinner and introduced me to Jeffrey Meshel, author of One Phone Call Away. I read part of his book before the dinner, and when we met I was immediately taken with Jeffrey's sincerity and good nature. He was excited about the release of his first book and its message. Jeffrey is a master networker who puts himself out there to help others. He does it from the heart and with altruistic intentions. I immediately felt connected to him and made it a mandate to finish his book immediately.
Everyone can learn something about proper networking from One Phone Call Away. The book is well-written and his experience makes it easy for others to follow his tips and advice. He has a clear approach to organizing information and utilizing your contacts for help and guidance. Most importantly, I agree with Jeffrey that it's not about ingratiating yourself by helping others for your own benefit. By helping others, in the end, you'll be the beneficiary. It may not happen today or tomorrow, but if you do something good for someone else, good comes back to you.
I highly recommend this book to everyone—you won't be disappointed.
