Caramelized Onions

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 medium brown onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon herbes de Provence
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper

Instructions

In a saucepan, add the butter and oil and melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and cook slowly for 25 to 30 minutes until caramelized and brown in color. Remove from the heat and season with herbes de Provence and salt and pepper. Spread evenly over the pissaladiere dough.
