Director of Operations, F&B (NYC)

Director of Operations (Food & Beverage) for US based entertainment and food and beverage entity. Ideal candidates will have experience working at high end luxury resorts, fine dining restaurants and large scale special events. International experience a plus, able to read and generate P&L and other financial statements, highly efficient and organized.

This individual will work on assembling A-level teams for assorted F&B operations and special events and work with culinary teams on service needs, warehousing, inventory, distribution and procuring product and inventory to ensure that all outlets are properly serviced and equipped to provide top level service to a demanding clientele.

Requirements include: Work with staffing agencies to recruit front and back of house staff for various F&B teams including restaurants, banquet houses and cafes.
Assist with sourcing, procurement and management of food and beverage elements, BOH equipment, sanitation and safety standards
Assist in the writing and creation of SOP’s, operating manuals and coach, train and develop associates to meet stringent service standards

Previous Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Prior experience managing teams
  • Prior banquet, special event and small and large f&b operations experience

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong skill in Microsoft products: Word/Excel/Power Point on Mac platform
  • Very strong with numbers
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Knowledge of luxury brands
