extraordinary weddings

Listen to Colin describe this event.
This gorgeous summer wedding was held on a ranch nestled in a canyon just outside of Montecito in Southern California. The theme of the wedding evolved from the Anglo-Indonesian colonial print used on the exquisite invitations in shades of gold and green. The ceremony took place at the steps of the formal rose garden, under an arbor that matched the blooming roses. The aisle, a serpentine shape rather than straight, was ankle-deep in white rose petals.
The wedding was full of fabulous surprises, beginning with a shower of pink rose petals that covered the entire party as the groom broke the glass at the end of the Jewish ceremony. Guests sipped champagne and glamorous cocktails before heading to a tent, decorated in an Anglo-Indonesian style in beautiful shades that matched the wedding’s theme. A variety of table shapes, as well as floor levels, kept the tent from looking like a sea of tables and made the sunken dance floor a beautiful focal point. Fresh fruit, garden roses, and glittering crystal candlesticks created a romantic and lush atmosphere. Though the cutting of the cake was the final ceremonial moment, the party was far from over. The party lasted late into the night, until the bride and groom headed to bed to dream of the fantastic night they’d had.
