London-based mining giant corporation Vedanta hosted a lively cocktail reception to celebrate the opening of the South African Indaba Mining Conference. The event hosted 200 of the industry’s finest for an evening of delicious delights, cocktails and entertainment. The party was held at the modern venue of East City Studios and boasted impressive views of Table Mountain. To keep in line with the mining business, the theme was “raw to refined” and all scenic elements showed a mix of raw mined elements alongside polished finished products. The food was created by Africa’s #1 chef, Liam Tomlin from his famed Chef’s Warehouse at Beau Constantia and his Indian restaurant in Seapoint, Thali. The evening came alive with music that featured sounds from Africa and India and culminating with a stellar performance by South Africa’s own Lira.
