The occasion to celebrate a client’s book launch could not have been more beautiful on a glorious sunny California Sunday. Festivities began with a Gospel performance featuring Andra Day and Common, curated and produced by the legendary Grammy award winning gospel singer Bebe Winans. The performance was followed by a leisurely brunch for 450 guests, featuring the best fried chicken from Chef Art Smith and many other fabulous delights from Chef Sonny Sweetman.

A color palate of soft greens, cream, natural colors, and leaf-patterned fabrics, along with wooden tables, sea grass rugs, and parasols created the perfect backdrop for a soulful brunch. Stations of fried chicken and waffles, catfish, braised shrimp, raw bars, barbeque, homemade cakes, pies, and even a vegan station were enjoyed by all guests. The finishing touch? Best cocktails by The Grand Bevy featuring a martini with an image of the cover of the book floating on top.
